I found the Married!

Hello everyone,




I've been keeping my head down at home because we have had another Married in the house, you remember a few years ago Mummy and Daddy got a Married, but they went away to get theirs, well this time Natalie and Gregg got married, but they did it from home.



Well I wasn't going to miss out on this opportunity, Me barney and Fred Pup have all been keeping watch to see if we could see when the Married arrived, we all missed it coming in, but I sneaked up stairs with the camera and took a photograph of it in Mummy and Daddies bedroom. I'm not allowed up there really so it was a big risk! (I was a little bit frightened to be honest. I won't be doing it again!). It is a big white thing that looked a bit scary really. What do you think?

When the day came to show everyone the married, Fred Pup, Barney and me were taken out by Daddy for a really long walk and when we got back there was lots of Girlies at home, all running around getting their hair done and painting colours on their faces. We were all banned from the lounge and every time the door was opened a chair and stuff was slid in the gap so we never got to see what was going on really, I did try but this was as close as I could get.

The boys were of no help at all they were in the garden playing for most of the morning, they just don't understand the girly stuff and how important it is, all they were interested in was fighting and chasing a ball. Where’s the fun in that!



Anyway although I couldn't see all that was going on, I did manage to get a quick photograph of Caroline doing Lacey's hair there was three girlies all dress in blue at the end but at this stage, apart from Caroline everyone still seemed to have their PJ's on almost like they had been to a sleep over.

Well as time went on Natalie disappeared up the stairs with Mummy where the big white thing was in the bedroom, and they were gone a long time, daddy was up there to for a little while,, probably wrestling with the white thing to try to control it, well they didn't do a very good job, because it eat Natalie, look the next time we all saw her she was completely covered with it. Although she looks very happy about the whole thing and she did look very pretty. Like I do when I get a new collar, only joking she looked even better than that. See what you think. I think she looks beautiful.

So there it is that a married, it’s all about the big white scary thing, and it makes people cry a little bit especially the Mummy's, although when Fred Pup tried to curl up on the back of the white thing and go sleepies that caused a few raised voices! But that’s a story for another day, for the moment we are still enjoying the Married.

Who's a pretty boy then!

Hiya Everybody,

Remember yesterday I told you that the fur ball was going to the pet parlour for a hair cut, well when he left this morning he looked like this, little thug that he is!

Then when he got back from the hair dressers he looked like this

I'm not sure he likes his new look a great deal, if I may say so it's a bit Gay!  I did tell him that when he came home, but now I've got to explain Gay to him, I'm not entirely sure how to go about that, but I'm sure once Daddy leaves us alone I can explain it to him.  I'm sure as soon as he can he will be in the first muddy puddle he can find, which is a shame because he smells really nice, actually I'm a little bit jealous.

New Door

Hiya everybody,

Since I last wrote we have had another door put on the front of the house, uncle Nicky and his Daddy came around a couple of weeks ago on a weekend and fitted it for us.  Doesn't it look nice, we have a lovely dry room outside the old front door now where we can wait for daddy to take off our leads and we can wipe our paws before coming into the house.  How good is that!

Mummy's and Daddy's think of everything don't they.

Barney is going to the hairdressers tomorrow, he doesn't know it yet but they are going to bath him and cut his hair so he looks a bit smarter than he normally does, he is such a scruffy little dog and typical bloke he doesn't care as long as he is having fun then he is happy.  Mind you what exactly is the fun chasing a ball, that every time you bring back Daddy just throws away again and Daddy throws it a long way (he even has a special stick to help him).  if anyone can tell me where the fun is in that I would be very interested to learn, actually that not really true, I don't really care its not for me that's for sure, i have daddy to fetch things for me not the other way around, really how demeaning is that.

I'll try to put a before and after picture of Barney's trip to the hairdressers tomorrow, did I tell you the last time we went to the doggie doctors he had his nails clipped, perhaps he is learning after all!

Poorly Paw!

Hi everyone,

When is it going to warm up! all the pretty yellow flowers that come up this time of year are buried in the white stuff called snow.  We went out to the park with Daddy yesterday and Barney was running around after his ball like a lunatic as usual.  There must have been something sharp hiding in the white stuff because when he got in the car he was leaking the red stuff all over the carpet in our bit at the back.

when we got home the red stuff was every where and it took Daddy ages to work out where the leak was, eventually he found it and put a bandage on it, I'm not sure what this bandage stuff is, but it stopped the leak and when Daddy took it back off later Barney was able to clean up the red stuff himself.  I had a leaky paw a few years ago and it really stings, but he has been very good about it.

He seems fine this morning, but he is still licking it a lot, I don't think we will be back up the park for a day or two, still not a problem for me its really too cold to be up there any way.

I'll let you know how he gets on with his poorly paw.

Boys !

Hiya, Everyone


Is it really necessary for boys to be quite so disgusting. Mummy took Freddie the terrorist, Barney and me out for a walk this morning and just look at the state these two got into.



 

 

They just seem to enjoy the mud and the dirt, and what is this thing about chasing a ball, it's just so demeaning!

Mummy had to stand the two off them in the bath and shower them off.  I however was only a little bit muddy on my tummy from splashes.

Must go now I need to get some rest whilst the two 'Boys' are quiet.  Just before I do though, whats a Bath?

Its Christmas again !

Hiya Everybody,

Its Christmas again, I'm not entirely sure what that is but it means there are lots of great smells around the house and we get new toys and treats and Mummy and Daddy stay home and take us for lots of walkies.  It also means we get lots of pretty lights around the house and trees to hold them up.

Now I'm a bit worried about Barney with the trees because when he sees these outside in the woods he often does a tripod act an wee wees on them.  I don't think Mummy and Daddy would be very impressed with that so I have been watching him.  Now he is still very young and he is getting a bit carried away with this Christmas thing, look he even uses his bone like a trumpet to make his bark louder (he only has a little bark)

Funny little thing isn't he!  Now Freddie the terrorist is getting a wee bit older and he is becoming almost calm, particularly if he has been out for a big walkies with Barney and me.  The only problem is he is a typical boy and is not very elegant when he is asleep and is it really necessary to wave it in my face when I'm trying to sleep Really!  Such a fuss about nothing.

Now these trees that I mentioned we have one in the lounge where our soft beds are and one in the dining room where our hard beds are both are really pretty, I think I prefer the one in the lounge see what you think.





The first one is the one in the lounge and the second one is the one in the dining room, you may have to lay on your side to see these properly as I haven't quite got the hang of the camera just yet.  Sorry about this.

Well its back to bed for me and Barney Uncle Paul and Auntie Carole are staying and Uncle Paul goes very very early to go to work and comes home then goes to bed (I Think he has a bit of doggie in him, he like to go to bed in the afternoon like me and Barney).  Mummy says it's because he's a 'Tube' driver, but how can you drive a tube, really Mummy you can't fool me!

Were off to see Nanny and Grandad sand on the week end I wonder what Barney will make of a sandy beach.  I bet he goes in the water again, he did when we went to see Nanny and Barrie pebbles, silly doggie when will he learn.  There is lots to do on the beach though and some wonderful smells.  its going to be great fun!  We are so lucky.

I have to go now so Merry Christmas from me and Barney, hope you have as much fun as we will.

Ahhh Sunshine

Hello again,

Its been fairly quiet of late, Barney has settled in really well, cheeky guy has even started to make himself at home in my beds but he is really good company even if he wants to play most of the time.  Well I suppose its just he is still very young.

We had Freddie the terrorist over on Saturday morning for a big walkies, daddy took us all to the woods after it had rained a lot on Friday night and there were lots of big puddles in the pathways.  i tried to explain to Freddie and Barney that these could be used as practise for ditch jumping, but Freddie's legs are too short and Barney just loves the water, so the end result was they just ran through the big muddy puddles rather than gracefully sprang over them.  what a state they were in by the time we got back to the feilds.

Daddy is really quite clever though, you remember that Freddie and Barney like to chase a ball (its a boy thing I think!)  well Daddy made the ball go into the long wet grass, so by the time we got back to the car they were very wet, but quite clean.

The walk that Daddy took us on was a lot longer than the normal one so we were all tired when we got home, even Freddie and Barney had to admit defeat and lay down.  I introduced them to the pleasures of stretching out in the sunshine in the lounge, as you can see the warmth really send us off to sleepies.

Now I have to admit I didn't take this photograph as that me fast asleep in the front, but as you can see with a bit of careful organisation we all get our own shaft of sunshine to sleep in.  Clever huh.

Must go now the suns just come out again and I feel a snooze coming on.
